Bonsai is not a dwarf species or a young sapling shaped as a tree; it is a craft where love and hard work is put over the years to create a piece of living art, resembling a mature, balanced and an aged tree in nature.
It is also not an overnight affair; it is a living art that keeps on evolving and taking shape perpetually. Unlike, a sculpture or a painting, a bonsai is never finished as it always keeps challenging the artistic abilities.
Desert cactus is the main and the most cultivated group. They are succulent perennials that have evolved in the arid and semi-arid regions of the American continents with majority of their number and variety coming from Mexico.
Most of cactus species are armed with spines. Normally, cacti are distinguished from the succulent members of other plant families by the structure of their flower and the presence of areoles.
Driftwood is a piece of wood that has been drifted and scattered along a river or a stream by the action of waves. These pieces while drifting hit stones and boulders enroute to assume stunning shapes. During their long and hazardous journey they face different weather conditions and the real texture of the wood is exhibited for it to be transformed into a sculptural marvel. Unlike other forms of art, each piece of driftwood is unique.

Free hand sketching is a very important technique of communication and this is how a mental picture is reflected and transformed into reality. The avian sketches drawn by me are a result of sheer imagination which may not have any resemblance with the species of birds existing.
